This Week's Schedule:  Both TTs are open. Make appointments for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Teacher-Made TT Appointments: If I make a TT appointment for you, please come to room 122 for TT.  If you feel you should go to another class, see me to clear this with me.

Reminder: if you come to TT in room 122, you MUST bring academic work.  If you don't have homework or studying to do, bring a book to read.

Adopt a Family: Please bring donations to your 4th period class!

EL World History

We will continue our unit on the Industrial Revolution.

You'll add new vocabulary to your vocabulary notebook.

You'll create a social class pyramid showing the new social order created by the Industrial Revolution.

We'll discuss the problems that arose during the industrial revolution, and how people tried to solve these problems by joining unions and try to get new laws to help workers.

You will receive review materials for the final exam. You may bring a large index card to the final exam (both sides, in your own handwriting).

Video for this week:  The Industrial Revolution

US History

Last Extra Credit opportunity for this semester. You may be eligible for the EC video if you do not have missing work (in other words, you can't use the EC to replace an assignment). However, you may substitute the EC video for a missing Edpuzzle video. The video is an AP-level video about the lead-up to WWI.

This video will not show up in your GC feed unless you have notified me that you want to try it.

We'll continue our coverage of US foreign policy in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

On Friday, you took a quiz on the Spanish-American War. Study the handout you received in class on Monday. A retake is available for this quiz. You must arrange the makeup with me - either TT or at lunch by this Friday.

At block period, you will write an SAQ on Imperialism/The Spanish American War. We'll discuss SAQ format on Monday.

We will turn out attention to World War I.

You will receive review materials for the 1st Semester Final Exam. You may bring a 3x5 card to the final (both sides, in your own handwriting).

You will be handing in a binder packet on the Foreign Policy unit on the day of your final exam. Be sure to bring your binder to the final.
