 Important Information for All Students: 

Grades: Your semester grade is the average of the 3rd and 4th quarter grades. 

Textbook Return: WE NEED to get your materials back!  Drop books/materials off at the entry gates as you come on campus, or you can drop textbooks in the library book drop. 

Graduating Seniors: 

In person: Check your email for instructions about today's graduation. You are expected to arrive at 12:00 and find your place in one of the two lines that will march to the stadium. 

Virtual: Check your email for information about the virtual graduation ceremony, which will take place this evening.

You will be completing a timeline of events in China in the 20th century.  

We'll finish this in class on Friday.  

We'll practice vocabulary words, and get ready for the test. 

Your final exam will include material on China, as well as vocabulary about government


US History:  

Our current unit: the Civil Rights/Vietnam Era. 

Last Week: 

You completed your Civil Rights project. Your project was due on Friday, May 14. 

You watched the Edpuzzle video on the Freedom Riders and answer the questions. 

We covered the origins of US involvement in Vietnam. Questions were embedded in the slides.  We finished this in class on Thursday/Friday, and you turned it in at the end of the period.

This Week:
We'll continue our discussion of the Vietnam War.  How did it go wrong, and why were the US and the South Vietnamese people unsuccessful in their goals? What happened at the end of the war?  If you took EC notes, they were due at the end of the period on Monday/Tuesday. 

Your presentation on a Civil Rights is now overdue. 

I have posted a Quizlet for you to review the Cold War.  You can do this in class on Thursday/Friday, and finish up any remaining work for this unit.
