US History:
1. If you didn't finish the first side of the notes sheet analyzing the arguments of Senator Hammond and Frederick Douglass, you should have that ready for a stamp on Monday.
2. There will be quiz at block!  Your studying should focus on the "Slavery and Politics" assignment, the video notes and the Dred Scott outline.

EL World History:
No homework.

APEH:
1. Map Quiz Monday!!  1648.
2. Group discussions on Montaigne starting Monday.  Also, read the Malebranche excerpt and Junius' letter to his daughter.
3. We should be ready for an MC test on Chapter 15 before the end of the week...we could even do it as early as block period.

EL World History:

1. Last section of the Chapter  15 SG is due Thursday.  Also do the fill-ins. 
2. You should know the 1648 map; we'll have a quiz on Monday.
3. Montaigne and Malebranche should be read/highlighted, in preparation for study groups.

APEH:
1. Due Monday: next section of Chapter 15 SG.
2. Due at block: POV comparison of 4 sources on the African slave trade.  Remember that your goal is not to summarize the documents.  Introduce each one, attribute it to its author and cite it by number. Then, identify any factors that might bear on POV.

1. Due Monday: Native American Voices.  Be sure to support all answers with evidence from the text, but do not incorporate quotes (except for a word or two) into your answers.  
2. The unit test on Expansion of the USA will take place at block period next week. You will also be handing in material from your binder. 

EL World History:

APEH:
1. Start reading the next chapter in McKay and work on the Study Guide questions and IDs.
2. Read the handout (Perry p. 331).  List as many characteristics of the modern nation-state as you can identify. 
3. Study the French Kings and the map of 1648.

1. Be sure to read the handout on Erasmus, and fill in the Ren/Ref review sheet.
2. You should have filled in the chart comparing religions, and also the chart showing categories of comparison.
3. How was the English Reformation different from the Reformation in Germany?  Why was there no Reformation in Spain or France?  You should be able to explain this stuff.

2. Read and annotate the handout on the Reformation, making notes about Lutheranism, Calvinism and the Catholic response (the Council of Trent).
3. Read the short excerpts by Erasmus -- he's a key figure in the Reformation era.
4. Finish Chapter 14 by Monday, together with the last few SG questions.  Keep doing the IDs, a few at a time.
