Open Trojan Time is back next week!  Make an appointment for October 22nd or 23rd if you need to organize your binder, make up at test/quiz, or work on current assignments. 

US History:

2. Due at block: The first 6 questions on the "Rise of Industrialism" reading guide.  Questions 7-12 will be due on Thursday.

EL World History:

APEH:
1. The next section of your SG is due on Monday. Keep filling in the chart of explorers as you go along.
2. Work on analyzing POV for the sources included in the handout entitled "Buying and Transporting Africans."  Use the POV checklist and the College Board examples for guidance. 
3. Read/annotate the excerpt from Montaigne's essay "On Cannibals."  You will be discussing Montaigne's ideas in small groups next week.

2. Begin filling in the outline form. 

APEH:
1. Next section of the Study Guide is due on Thursday. Keep working on the IDs and the Explorers Chart as you go along.
2. Read and annotate the introductory reading (the excerpt from the Perry book). Your annotations should focus on the questions I gave you in class.  Read the handout on Dutch commercial colonialism, as this gives you an example of globalization of trade in the modern era, and the connection between private enterprise (capitalism) and state sponsorship.

2. Read and highlight/underline the handout. 
3. Fill in the chart of explorers as you go through the chapter.

1. You should have some information on your chart of "Causes of the French Revolution."  You will be writing the essay next week.

US History:
1. At this point, you should have completed the timeline as well as the handout on the Gettysburg Address.
2. We should be ready for a unit test next week, although will have to work around the PSAT.

2. You should have most of the chart of religions filled in. 
3. What were the causes of the Protestant Reformation?  You should be able to identify at least 3 trends of the time period OTHER THAN Church corruption. 
4. To what extent was the Reformation a political event, and to what extent was it religious?  This is a common question.  Think about how you would answer it.
