US History: 1. Open-note quiz on Friday, April 1st! Make sure your binder is in order, so you can find all your notes -- the main things you will need are "Cold War Begins" and "Cold War Deepens." World History: 1. Due Friday: "Peace and a New War." 2. If you didn't finish highlighting "Purges under Stalin," you should have this ready on Friday. We'll also go over the review sheet on "The Soviet Union under Lenin and Stalin." APEH: 1. Unit test on Friday (Chapter 28 & 29). I'll collect a couple of items, including your "Causes of WWII" chart. 2. If you didn't turn in an outline of an art-based question with your modern art notes, you can do that on Friday.

You should have filled in the "Causes of WWII" chart. You need not write the paragraph. 3. We will have some class discussion on Modernism; we should be ready for a test on Friday.

1. Modern Art notes are due Monday, and yes, they have to be typed.

3. We should be able to wrap up this unit (Chapters 28 and 29) by the end of next week.

1. If you didn't finish the fill-in review on Russia, finish it up for block period.

APEH:
1. You should be reading Chapter 29 and the associated Perry readings.
2. Chapter 28 Study Guide is due at block, or maybe Thursday, since I think I forgot to tell you it's due...except that I did put it in the blog...so maybe it's due at block after all....

1. You should have used the sources we examined so far to fill in as many things as possible on your "atomic bomb" chart.
2. If you didn't finish reading the last of our sources, "History without Hiroshima?" you should have finished reading it by Monday. If there is any part of the reading you don't understand, be prepared to discuss it with your group.
3. Unit test on WWII will take place at block.

World History:
1. No homework.
2. What were the names of Tsar Nicholas II's four daughters?

APEH:
1. Map test (Interwar Europe AGAIN!) on Monday.
2. You should be reading Chapter 29 in McKay and the associated Perry readings on the Interwar period and the rise of extremism.
3. Chapter 28 Study Guide will be due at block.

1. If you didn't finish "Growth of Russia" in class at block, have it ready for my stamp on Thursday. There will be an open-note quiz on this assignment on Thursday or Friday.

1. We're gathering information about the decision to drop the atomic bomb.
2. Unit test on WWII will take place next week at block period.

World History:
1. Unit test on the Holocaust and genocide was given this week at block (March 15th and 16th). Students also handed in material from the binder. If you missed the block period this week, see me immediately to arrange a makeup.
2. You will need a new divider for our next unit on Russia.
3. We completed and reviewed the reading "Growth of Russia" in class at block.

APEH:
1. You should be finishing up Chapter 28 and the Perry readings that go with it.
2. We'll continue reviewing essay prompts on Wednesday, and move on to some lecture notes on the 1920s.

2. Next week, we'll be focusing on Truman's decision to drop the atomic bombs at the end of the Pacific War.
3. Once we finish debating/discussing the atomic bomb, we'll be ready for a test on this unit.

World History:

1. You should be reading Chapter 28 and the associated Perry sections, and working on the Study Guide.
3. Read the Hardy poem and the excerpts from Eliot's Waste Land. As you read the Waste Land (which you can find in its entirety online), ask yourself: What is Modernism?
