US History:
1. There will be a quiz on the Spanish American War notes on Thursday.

World History:
1. Due Thursday: Read the handout on the India-Pakistan conflict over Kashmir. Study the maps and highlight the information given on the back of the sheet. In the blank area, list the 5 most important points that explain the current conflict...imagine that someone asked you to explain why India and Pakistan have such a difficult conflict over this region, and you must answer using only 5 essential bullet points.
2. Unit test on imperialism is Thursday...be sure you have your binder with you to hand in work.

APEH:
1. Keep reading Chapters 18-20. We'll finish this unit and take the test immediately after the break.

1. Due at block: Reading notes on "Becoming a World Power."
2. If you didn't finish the T-chart on Senator Beveridge's speech, you should have this ready for at block also.

World History:
1. If you didn't finish the map of India before 1947, use your textbook to finish it for block period.
2. Unit test is Thursday.

APEH:
1. Please finish reading Candide. You'll have more in-class work time this week.
2. Keep reading Chapters 18, 19 and 20 in McKay.

Second quarter progress report period ended today, Dec. 11. Grades will be filed with the office on Tuesday, Dec. 15, and should be mailed home by the end of the week.

US History:
1. Due at block: Textbook reading notes. Use either outline or Cornell format.

World History:
1. No homework.
2. If you didn't get points for the binder check, please come in at lunch or after school to show me your binder.

APEH:
1. Chapter 18 in McKay and Study Guide questions.
2. Candide.
3. You'll have time in class to complete the timeline and questions on the Scientific Revolution and Enlightenment.

1. Review day Friday -- Test on Monday!

World History:
1. Due Friday: letter to King Leopold, either supporting or opposing Belgian actions in the Congo. Typed, double-spaced, 12 point font, 1 inch margins. Your letter should be between 250 and 300 words in length.

APEH:
1. Our ambition will be to start presentations on Friday, finish them on Monday, and take the unit test on Chapters 16 and 17 at block next week.

2. The test on this unit will take place on Monday, Dec. 7th.

World History:
1. If you missed the Industrial Revolution test on the Friday before Thanksgiving break, please see me immediately to make it up.
2. Due Friday: your letter to King Leopold, either supporting or opposing Belgium's actions in the Congo.

APEH:
1. Read the assigned pages in McKay and Perry, and finish the Chapter 16 Study Guide.
2. A bit more lecture, then on to "eastern absolutism."

1. Review of the Progressives in class on Thursday.

World History:
1. We'll finish the map of European imperialism in Africa in class on Thursday.
2. Due Friday: Write a letter to King Leopold pretending to be either a missionary or a businessman. Explain why you either oppose Belgian actions in the Congo or support them.
3. If you were absent right before the Thanksgiving break and you missed the Industrial Revolution test, please see me immediately to arrange a makeup. If I don't hear from you by the end of the week, I will assume you have decided not to take the test.

APEH:
1. More awful lecture. You'll compare France and England in the 17th century using PERSIA.
