We'll be reviewing for the final exam.  I will give you some review sheets and practice quizzes. Your final is on Wednesday morning. 

Binder: I will do a binder check while you take the final exam. Be sure to bring your binder with you to the final exam.

If you did not write the essay (block period last week) decide when you will do it.  You can come to room 122 on the afternoon of Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, or you can write it during the final exam period, after you complete the multiple choice exam. 

Edpuzzle for this week: At this point, you should have watched all the videos for the Foreign Policy unit.  Google Classroom links to all this semester's videos will be deleted this week.  

We'll go over the fill-in review packet, so that you will have a corrected version to study.  Get a stamp on the crosswords as well. 

Binder Packet: I will be collecting a binder packet for the Foreign Policy unit at the final exam. Be sure to bring your binder with you to the final.

We will try the map quiz again, so study your map.  If you want to retake last Friday's quiz, make an appointment for Trojan Time. 

We'll cover the entry of the United States into the war on the side of the Allied Powers.  

You'll take notes on the end of the war, and the Treaty of Versailles.

 I'll stamp your rough draft for the essay on Monday. Remember, you may NOT completely pre-write the essay.  If you have a completely pre-written essay (in other words, you are just copying an essay during class), I will pick up the draft so that I can be sure you are writing the essay based on your own understanding ofthe issues. 

We'll briefly discuss the 14 Points and the Treaty of Versailles. 

You'll write the essay in class during block period.  At the end of the period, you will hand in the essay, the rough draft, your T-chart with notes on the sources, and your rubric.  

Later in the week, we'll start reviewing for the final exam.

We'll start a case study of US expansionism -- the annexation of the Philippine Islands. 

Overview of the Spanish-American War -- I'll give you a handout to annotate.

We'll read and annotate a speech by Albert Beveridge called "The March of the Flag." 

Quiz: Important terms/people related to the Spanish-American War.

You will read and analyze a series of primary sources from pro-expansion and anti-expansion writers. As you read, you will identify the main arguments in favor of expansion and opposed to expansion.
