Email me with any questions.

Your summer work is due on July 19th at 11:00.  I'll be in front of CVHS (on Santa Maria) to collect your work.  Be sure to label all parts of the assignment and place them in a file or an envelop, so that all of your work stays together.

Note that you are eligible to submit one extra credit book review each quarter.  Some books are listed at the end of the summer assignment instructions, but you may choose another book if you clear it with me first.  Check with me if you have questions about the book review.  It should not consist of material that would appear in an online review or synopsis.  Basically, you need to convince me that you actually read the book.

APEH:

Feel free to email me with any questions about the summer assignment!  I recommend that you do the parts of the assignment in order, so that things will make sense.  As you near the end of the assignment, think back to how you answered previous questions -- go back and change them if necessary.

I hope everyone got a textbook before the end of school.  The school is now closed, and I don't know when the bookroom will be open again.  You can try to library, but it's possible that you will be unable to get a book over the summer.  I do not have access to my room, so I can't get you a book.

If this happens, one option is to rent or buy a book through amazon.  You must get a book that is 11th edition or later, and includes the chapter on the later Middle Ages (the 14th century).

Another option is to borrow a classmate's book, take it to a copy shop, and copy Chapter 11.

You might also be able to find the book in a used book store, in either hardback or paperback form. Again, be sure to get 11th edition or later, and make sure the book includes the chapter on the later Middle Ages.

Remember that if you do not turn in the summer work on time, I have the option of dropping you from the class.
