2. Make a list of Lutheran and Calvinist beliefs, using the handout from Perry Vol. 1 as your source.
3. Read the handout on the Renaissance papacy. What went wrong? Was it the popes themselves, or was it humanism that led them astray?

2. Start reading Chapter 14 and the Perry Vol. 1 handout. Make a list of Lutheran and Calvinist beliefs.
3. Read the handout on the Renaissance papacy. What role did the popes seem to have taken on in Italy and in Europe? Were the actions of the popes primarily responsible for the Reformation, or did the Reformation flow inevitably from the ideas and trends of the Renaissance (humanism, etc.)?

World History:
1. If you didn't finish your timeline of "Democratic Developments in England" during block, have it finished for a stamp on Thursday.

EL World History:
1. We'll start reviewing for the unit test on Thursday. The test will take place next week.

APEH:
1. You should be about finished discussing Machiavelli and More. Remember to relate each writer to his historical context.
2. On Monday and block next week, we'll go to the lab to research Renaissance art. You'll hand in your notes at the end of block.
3. On Thursday of next week, you should be ready for the multiple choice test on the Renaissance.

1. Due Monday: Paragraph on the Boston Massacre. You can pretend that you were there at the time of the incident, either as an American patriot or a British soldier (or loyalist). If you prefer, you can just write the paragraph as a historian, stating which side you think was at fault, and explaining your position. Typed, double spaced, 12 point font, one inch margins, 250-300 words.
2. We'll be discussing the Declaration of Independence in class on Friday. Open-note quiz on the events leading to the Revolution on Monday.

World History:
1. Quiz on philosophers and types of government on Friday.

EL World History:

Happy Labor Day!

US History:
1. Your "assertion paragraph" is due at block. Start with a strong statement of your position on one of the discussion questions. Support your statement with facts and examples.
2. We didn't quite finish reviewing the reading notes on "Three Worlds Meet" in class on Friday. We'll finish the review at block.
3. You have a map quiz at block. You should know the major nations of North America, as well as major bodies of water.
4. If you didn't bring your binder or permission slip, you can still get points for them! Bring them to block period next week!

World History periods 1 and 6:

2. Think about all the things you've learned in our fast overview of the Middle Ages. How does that Hundred Years embody the transformation that was taking place in the 14th century? How did the war intensify that transformation in France and England? In other words, how did the war move these two incipient nations in the direction of the modern nation-state?
