Important Information for All Students:
Congratulations, everyone, for making it through Week 2 of Distance Learning!

Remember to check this site daily. Most work is being assigned on Mondays and Tuesdays -- be extra sure to check on these days in order to give yourself the maximum time to complete assignments.

If you have friends in one of my classes, and they are not sure what to do, tell them to check this weblog, or email me directly.

You have a 4-day weekend (this was always part of our district calendar). If you need to catch up on work that you missed during the confusion of these first two weeks, now is the time!  Remember, we will be doing Distance Learning until at least May 4th.

AS ALWAYS, email me with any questions. Tell me about incorrect links, etc. so I can fix the problem.

US History:
1. At this point, I should have all your materials from the WWII unit. This includes your Atomic Bomb Chart, the answers to the questions about the chart, and the short WWII test.  Scroll down through the posts for last week to get all the instructions and links.

Cold War

4. At the end of the slides, there are 6 questions for you to answer. Answer these in Google Classroom. The questions are also posted in the instructions in Google Classroom.  Create a new document (click on "Create"), copy the questions and write your answers.

This assignment is due today, March 27th.

Save your handouts and any notes you took on the slides -- as usual, there will eventually be a quiz on this basic Cold War material!

Thursday, March 26, 2020

Important Information for All Students:

New "back-to-school" date!  The latest plan is to re-start school on Monday, May 4th. Of course, our situation is changing all the time, so we will have to stay flexible.

Upcoming holidays and "no school" days: these are unchanged.  In other words, they will occur on the same dates as shown on the district calendar (you can find this on the school website).

March 30th and 31st (this coming Monday and Tuesday): These days were always calendared as "no school" days. The 30th is a staff development day, and the 21st is Cesar Chavez day.  So....there will be no assignments on those days.

Spring Break will take place as usual! This will be a week off for everyone.

Remember that you can still check Aeries to see your progress.  At this time, scores are advisory.

Be sure to email me with any questions about assignments or instructions. Let me know if any of the links are wrong, etc.

US History:
1. If you haven't turned in work from last week, scroll down to find links and instructions.
Here is the link for the WWII Test:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Fkdrq3FSJXi8eL2R2N5Crocx7yIVTvp3/view?usp=sharing

3. Open the slide presentation "Cold War Basics:"
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bjGs4ehsYpJ3VGCB5w45VIEvJlefk1L0/view?usp=sharing

Click through the slides. You can make a copy for your drive if you want.  Use the handout "Cold War Basics" as a place to take notes.  Or, open a window for the slides and a window for the handout and view them side-by-side. (See yesterday's post for instructions on how to do this on a PC).

4. On the last slide, you will see 6 questions.  Answer these questions in Google Classroom.  Click on the new assignment in GC, and create a new document. The questions are also shown in the instructions, but please write your answers in a new document, not in the comments field.
I would like to have your answers  by Friday.  If you don't finish by Friday, plan to submit your work on Wednesday, April 1st.  I will move on to new assignments on April 1st.

EL World History:
1. Your are viewing the slides about "Russian Weakness before The Revolution."
Here is the link:

These are due today (Thursday), but if you don't finish, hand them in tomorrow.

AP European History:
1.  Keep working on Chapter 25 (War and Revolution).
You are currently reading pages 824-837 (RQs 3, 5, 7)  and pages 837-849 (RQs 9, 10, 11, 15, and 16).
2. The last section of the SG is pages 849-859.  Do Review Questions 18, 21 and 22.
3. You are also doing the fill-ins, and the following IDs:
T.E. Lawrence, Battles of the Somme, Verdun, and Passchendaele, Moroccan Crisis, Algeciras Conference, Petrograd Bread Riots, Provisional Government, Petrograd Soviet, Army Order #1, Constituent Assembly, Sykes-Picot Agreement, Balfour Declaration.

3. Answer the questions on the article "WWI: The War That Changed Everything."

Make a copy for your Drive, fill in the answers and share your document with me.
4. Read the article "A Peace of Might" (the German delegation to the Paris Peace Conference). It's not long.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TsCow9Wsn8XKNFvGU7g7166RDMM6CgyF/view?usp=sharing
There are four questions at the end -- these are for you to check your comprehension.  The idea is for you to understand the extent to which the Versailles settlement went against the expectations of the German people and provided a basis for their anger in the Interwar period.   If you write your answers and share them with me, I will regard this as extra credit. There is a Google Classroom assignment set up for this purpose.
All of this WWI stuff is due on Friday, April 3rd.

Wednesday, March 25, 2020

Important Information for All Students:
I was able to visit the CVHS campus this  morning, which was very strange. The only people around were construction workers. Maybe they are happy to have the place to themselves!

I am getting lots of assignments from last week's postings. Go ahead and finish anything you are still working on and hand it in (scroll down to earlier posts for links and instructions).  Then, move on to this week's material.

If you chat/text with fellow students who aren't sure what to do, remind them to check this weblog each morning.

US History:
We have moved on from WWI and we have started a unit on the Cold War.  If you haven't yet submitted the test for WWI, here is the link:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Fkdrq3FSJXi8eL2R2N5Crocx7yIVTvp3/view?usp=sharing

1. "The US After 1945," "Cold War Basics," and Slide Notes:
If you were in class on the Friday before the shutdown, you already have these handouts. If you were absent, or have misplaced the handouts, here are links:

"The US After 1945"
https://drive.google.com/file/d/18Wzs8LoEbXjbs7Jpe28yxss-oK7oV41x/view?u
Start out by reading and and highlighting this handout.  If you don't have the paper handout open the link and make a copy for your Drive.

"Cold War Basics":
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IcdglVPNRPe8MZRAGuqcR5eUC96pg22-/view?usp=sharingsp=sharing
If you don't have the paper handout, open this link and make a copy for your Drive, so you can take notes on it.  You can also print out the handout and take notes on it.

Slide Notes: "America and the Cold War"
You will read/highlight/annotate the "Cold War Basics" handout as you review the slide presentation.
Here is the link for the slides:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bjGs4ehsYpJ3VGCB5w45VIEvJlefk1L0/view?usp=sharing
You can save the presentation or make a copy of it for your Drive if you like.

If you don't have the handout as a paper document, get the digital version and open it at the same time as the slides -- in other words, use side-by-side windows.  On a PC, do this by opening two tabs, one for the slides and one for the handout.  Drag one tab all the way over to one side of the screen and release your mouse.  Then drag the other tab all the way over to the other side of your screen and release your mouse.  This should enable you to go through the slides while you annotate your handout.

2. At the end of the slide presentation are 6 questions for you to answer in Google Classroom.
Go to Google Classroom and click on the new assignment.  The questions are also in the instructions, but PLEASE don't write your answers in the "comment" field.  Create a new document, copy the questions into the new document, and write your answers there.  Don't forget to turn in your answers.

EL World History:
1. Notes on "Russian Weakness before The Revolution."
Use this link to get the slide presentation:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GoUd5A3sTSeerSZD0wAO8TvLC5X-zCpt/view?usp=sharing
You can save it or make a copy for your drive if you want.

Use this link to get a worksheet for notes:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/10HDbX9LbtOM6ZGyFnQD_9h3JxjLKo0t5/view?usp=sharing
You can print out the worksheet, or make a copy for your drive, so you can take notes on the worksheet.
If you take notes on a paper worksheet, you will need to send me a picture of the notes.
If you take notes on a copy of the worksheet in your Drive, you can share it with me.

AP European History:
1. I'm still getting some of the 19th century people worksheet. That's OK, but try to move on to Chapter 25 (War and Revolution) today.

2. Chapter 25: War and Revolution.
Here is a link to the SG:
 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RPm9YoilTIPxk0VgbI9z49v35vZuACfp/view?usp=sharing

So far, I have assigned pages 824 to 837 (Review Questions 3, 5, 7) and pages 837 to 849 (Review Questions 9, 10, 11, 15 and 16).   Do the Fill-Ins.  IDs: T.E. Lawrence, Battles of the Somme, Verdun, and Passchendaele, Moroccan Crisis, Algeciras Conference, Petrograd Bread Riots, Provisional Government, Petrograd Soviet, Army Order #1, Constituent Assembly, Sykes-Picot Agreement, Balfour Declaration.

I will continue to assign the rest of the SG, but you will have plenty of time to finish everything.

3. You are also reading and annotating "WWI: The War That Changed Everything."  Here is a link to some questions about this article.  If you were doing "close reading" and you have good annotations, your annotations should be helpful in answering the questions.

Important Information for All Students:
Today is the day to turn in any unfinished work from last week.  Your work will not be considered late.  Email me if you are having problems with the work.

You may have noticed that Aeries is no longer showing grades or percentages.  All scores are advisory, as decisions about how to do grading during the shutdown have not yet been finalized.

Remember to email me with any questions about assignments!  Let me know if the links don't work, or if you need more information.

US History:
1. If you haven't already turned in the WWI test (it's really a quiz), please do it today.
Here is the link for the test:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Fkdrq3FSJXi8eL2R2N5Crocx7yIVTvp3/view?usp=sharing
Make a copy for your Drive, fill it in, and share it with me.

Let's move on to the Cold War!

2. Read and highlight to two handouts you received in class before the shutdown: "The US After 1945" and "Cold War Basics."
If you don't have the handouts, here are the links:
The US After 1945
https://drive.google.com/file/d/18Wzs8LoEbXjbs7Jpe28yxss-oK7oV41x/view?u
Cold War Basics
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IcdglVPNRPe8MZRAGuqcR5eUC96pg22-/view?usp=sharingsp=sharing

3. Lecture Notes (sort of!) and questions.
The following PowerPoint slides go with the handouts "Cold War Basics" and "The US After 1945." This means that you will not need to take notes on the slides....just add a few notes to the handouts (we have done this in class several times).  The slides include some additional material about the situation in Japan after the war, but you need not take notes on this stuff unless you really feel like it.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bjGs4ehsYpJ3VGCB5w45VIEvJlefk1L0/view?usp=sharing

4. At the end of the slides there are 6 questions for you to answer in Google Classroom. Go to GC and open the new assignment there....please don't write your answers in the "comment" field!
This is not due until Friday, but I may also assign a video before the end of the week.

EL World History:
1. Use this link to get the lecture notes: "Russian Weakness Before The Revolution."
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GoUd5A3sTSeerSZD0wAO8TvLC5X-zCpt/view?usp=sharing

2. Use this link to get the worksheet for taking notes:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/10HDbX9LbtOM6ZGyFnQD_9h3JxjLKo0t5/view?usp=sharing

Make a copy of the worksheet for your Drive. Write your notes on the worksheet.  If you already have a printed copy of the worksheet, you can write the notes on it, and send me a picture of it.
Turn these in to me by Thursday.

AP European History:
1. I should have your Chapter 23/34 SG and test. I should also have your chart of 19th century people. If you are still working on the chart, I suggest doing just a bit more and then handing in whatever you have, so you can move on.   If you are planning to take the AP Exam, then you should definitely work on it so that you can use it as review for the exam.

World War I -- The Great War.

2. You are reading Chapter 25, pages 824-837, and answering questions 3, 5 and 7.  You are also doing the fill-ins and the IDs.  Scroll down to earlier posts for the IDs.
Here is the link for the Chapter 25 SG:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RPm9YoilTIPxk0VgbI9z49v35vZuACfp/view?usp=sharing
3. Next up will be pages 837-849.
Please do Review Questions 9, 10, 11, 15 and 16.

I'll assign the last part of the SG later this week.  All of this WWI stuff will be due at the end of next week.

4. Here is the link for the WWI lecture:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1CwP6rmn-s6ajZ0VTF4cXNVMUk/view?usp=sharing

5. Hopefully, you have been reading "WWI: The War that Changed Everything."
Here is a link for reading questions on this article.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Ub7k8EbZ7dSTogdujPx0t2FqEzAA-2nn/view?usp=sharing
Make a copy of the questions for your Drive. Look back at your annotations, and see whether you highlighted/annotated the important stuff...in other words, do your annotations help you answer the questions?  Annotation is a form of note-taking...how good are your annotations?

Here is a link to a lecture on the Russian Revolution. It includes some long-term historical background. Focus on the ways in which Lenin's version of a communist revolution differed from Marx's vision.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Ub7k8EbZ7dSTogdujPx0t2FqEzAA-2nn/view?usp=sharing

6. Last time you were in class (Friday, the 13th!) you picked up some review sheets for WWI and the Russian Revolution. These review sheets are for your benefit...in other words, not assignments.  On the other hand, it would be helpful for you to do some of them.  I'm thinking about how to give some kind of extra credit under current circumstances. This will probably involve filling in the sheets and sending me pictures.

Monday, March 23, 2020

Important Information for All Students:
Good morning everyone, and welcome to week 2 of Distance Learning.

I'm receiving lots of good work from students. Please continue to email me with any questions. Let me know if any links don't work!  Comments in Google Classroom are good....but please don't write your answers to the questions in the "comments" field.

Work that was assigned last week (scroll down to previous posts for details) can be turned in by Tuesday (tomorrow). After that, we will all move on to new assignments.

You will notice that your grades are no longer showing up in Aeries. I am showing scores so that you can self-assess your work, but the school has decided not to post grades at this time. Thus, the scores are "advisory." They are intended as feedback for you.

US History:
1. If you have not yet completed the "World War II Test", you should do that today!  Click on the link, and then make a copy for your Drive.  Type your answers in the blanks, and then share the document with me.
Here is the link for the test:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Fkdrq3FSJXi8eL2R2N5Crocx7yIVTvp3/view?usp=sharing

2. If you are finished with all the WWII material, then you can start reading  the introductory handouts for the Cold War.  You received these handouts in class on Friday, March 13th.  If you do not have the handouts, here are the links:
The US After 1945

Make copies for your Drive.

EL World History:
1. Good work, everyone!  Be sure to read all instructions carefully.

2. If you have any work you still need to turn in from last week, try to finish it today.

If you are finished with all the work from last week, you can move on to some new stuff!

3. Here is a link for lecture notes: Russian Weakness before The Revolution
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GoUd5A3sTSeerSZD0wAO8TvLC5X-zCpt/view?usp=sharing

https://drive.google.com/file/d/10HDbX9LbtOM6ZGyFnQD_9h3JxjLKo0t5/view?usp=sharing
Make a copy of this sheet for your Drive.

You can print the sheet out, take notes on it and send me a picture.    OR...
You can type your answers onto the copy and share it with me.

AP European History:
1. If you have not yet done the Chapter 23/24 unit test, please try to turn that in today, so we can move on.

2. If you have not yet turned in your 19th century people worksheet, please share it with me today.
Important note: If you are taking the AP Euro Exam, do an especially good job on the 19th century people. Go back over it and make sure you understand all the ideas associated with the people and groups on the list.  The College Board is reducing the number of topics covered on the Exam. The 19th century will be included and since the 19th century is such a huge topic, it's advisable to really focus on it.

If you have finished all of the work from the 19th century, you can move on to WWI.

3. Continue reading Chapter 25 (War and Revolution). Currently, you are reading pages 824 to 837, and answering Review Questions 3, 5 and 7.  Do the fill-ins. IDs: T.E. Lawrence, Battles of the Somme, Verdun, and Passchendaele, Moroccan Crisis, Algeciras Conference, Petrograd Bread Riots, Provisional Government, Petrograd Soviet, Army Order #1, Constituent Assembly, Sykes-Picot Agreement, Balfour Declaration.

4. Here is a lecture on World War I.  It is adapted from a lecture for World History students, and some of it will be review for you.  Download it and view it when you have time.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1CwP6rmn-s6ajZ0VTF4cXNVMUk/view?usp=sharing

5. Read and annotate "World War I: The War That Changed Everything."

Friday, March 20, 2020

Important Information for All Students:
Congratulations on finishing your/our first week of "distance learning."  I'm getting lots of work back from students.

Remember that while school buildings are closed, your education has to continue. This is our goal. We can do it.

Continue to email me with questions. Instructions can always be clarified or improved.

I hope you and your family are well.

US History:
1. I should receive your Atomic Bomb Chart and your answers to the three questions posted in Google Classroom today.
Share the Atomic Bomb Chart with me.
Open ("Create") a Google Classroom document to answer the 3 questions.
Remember that you do not need to fill in the question sheet you were given in class...just the 3 questions posted in the instruction field in Google Classroom.
Responses so far have been excellent!

2. Here is a link for a short test on our WWII unit.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Fkdrq3FSJXi8eL2R2N5Crocx7yIVTvp3/view?usp=sharing
Click on the link to access the test, and then make a copy for your Drive, so that you can type your answers into it. When you finish, share it with me.
The test is due on TUESDAY (not Monday, as originally planned).  This will give everyone enough time to catch up.  After that, we will move on to a unit on the Cold War.

EL World History:
1. If you have not finished the textbook notes and the Reading Quiz, you should finish that today.
Go to Google Classroom and find the assignment. "Create" a document.  Write your notes in the new document.

2. On the same Google Classroom document, copy the questions from the "Reading Quiz," and write your answers in complete sentences.  Don't forget to turn in the assignment.
Here is the link for the Reading Quiz:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1g4LtdfzviotEgLxDum3RwrCz9bT6e3p1/view?usp=sharing

3. No more work will be assigned until Monday.
4. Keep up the good work!

APEH:
1. I have received most (but not all) of the Chapter 24 Study Guides.  If you haven't shared your SG with me yet, please do so today (it was due on Wednesday).

2. Your chart of 19th century people is due today.  If you have finished some, but not all of it, I recommend that you do a bit more today and then share it with me.  It's important to keep moving forward.

3. The test for Chapters 23 and 24 should be completed in Google Classroom.  "Create" a new document and number your paper from 1 to 33.  Write the letters for the correct answers. You don't need to copy the questions.
Here is the link for the test:   https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pPyWWa7gLSSZhtQI1BTj8DmV6AcZidme/view?usp=sharing
Some people have already turned it in, but if not, you have until Monday to complete it. Feel free to consult with your fellow students or with McKay. He is very helpful.   GC code is: pb3ih7e

New material for Chapter 25 will be officially assigned next week.
4. You should be reading and annotating the article "WWI: The War That Changed Everything."

5. You should start reading Chapter 25, War and Revolution.
The first SG section will be pages 824-837.  You will be doing questions 3, 5 and 7.  Read the other questions and see how many you can answer (in your head) based on what we've already covered.

6. Do the fill-ins as you go along in the textbook.

7. Read the lists of people, battles, and IDs.  Think about all the stuff you have learned about WWI in past years. I am only going to assign IDs that I think you may not have covered in the past...but if any of the terms/people/events on the list look unfamiliar to you, you should use the textbook to resolve your uncertainty.
People: T.E. Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia)
Battles: Somme, Verdun, Passchendaele.  What do these have in common; what do they tell us about modern warfare?
IDs: Moroccan Crisis, Algeciras Conference of 1906, Petrograd Bread Riots, Provisional Government, Petrograd Soviet, Army Order #1, Constituent Assembly, Sykes-Picot Agreement, Balfour Declaration.
Other stuff will be covered in lectures I will send you.  Yay!  Lectures!

Important Information for All Students:

Good morning, everyone! We are nearing the end of our first week of Distance Learning.  Check Aeries and you will see that there is a new gradebook for the 4th quarter.

I'm already receiving work from students, and I've got plenty of grading to do. Keep checking this weblog each day for updates on assignments and due dates.

Be sure to email me if you have any problems.  Juniors and seniors, you will be pleased to hear that statewide testing has been canceled.  (SBAC)

Let me know if there are any problems with links.

US History:
1. Your atomic bomb materials are due tomorrow.  I am expecting a complete Atomic Bomb (shared in Docs) and your answers to the questions posted in Google Classroom.

2. Read source document #4 carefully (History without Hiroshima?) The author rejects some/most of the arguments presented in documents #2 and #3.  By the time you are finished, you should have lots of notes in ALL columns of your chart.

3. Scroll down to yesterdays post for links to all the documents.  If you were absent from class on Friday, March 16th, you will not be able to get source document #1.  However, you should be able to get plenty of information from the other three sources.

4. Tomorrow (Friday), I will post a test for the World War II unit. It will be due on Monday.

EL World History:
1. Textbook notes: Go to Google Classroom find the new assignment posted there. Open ("Create") a new document. Use this new document to take notes on pages 425 to 429 in your textbook. Use the same format you have used in the past for reading notes.

2. When you finish your notes, answer the questions on the "Russian Revolution Reading Quiz."
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1g4LtdfzviotEgLxDum3RwrCz9bT6e3p1/view?usp=sharing
Copy the questions in your Google Classroom document (right after your notes), and answer using complete sentences.

3 Your notes and answers are due on Friday.

APEH:
1. I should have your Chapter 24 Study Guide.  I will start deducting points for late work by this evening. If you turned it in on time, I allocated 4 points for "on-time" work.

2. Here is the link for the unit test:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pPyWWa7gLSSZhtQI1BTj8DmV6AcZidme/view?usp=sharing
Open a Google Classroom document and number it 1-33 (just make a list).  Write the correct letter for each question.
Turn it in by Friday.  Consultation with peers/McKay is OK.

3. You are also reading/annotating the article "World War I: The War That Changed Everything." This is an important article, so try to understand why this author thinks WWI was so freaking important.

4. You are getting started on Chapter 25, War and Revolution.  Scroll down to yesterday's post, where you can find the pages and questions for the first SG assignment. This will not be due until next week, after everyone has finished the test.

Wednesday, March 18, 2020

Important for all students:
Check Aeries -- you will notice that a new gradebook has been set up for 4th quarter. Monitor your grade as usual!

When you are completing assignments in Google Classroom, please click on "Create" and go to a new document.  In other words, don't try to put your answers in a "comment."

Be sure to email me with any questions/problems.  Let me know if I've left out any links or other information that you need to complete the assignments.

Here is Tom Richey's "Corona Class" on the Treaty of Versailles.  Skip the nonsense at the beginning, obviously.  If the video doesn't load right away, just wait a bit or click on it; the problem usually resolves.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpq51AtMSzQ

Monday, March 16, 2020

Important for all students:

Good morning/afternoon, and welcome to 4th quarter.

I hope you and your family are well and keeping a positive attitude!  Be good to your family members, neighbors and friends, and do your best to stay informed. This means listening to regular news programs -- DON'T get your news from social media!  You don't want to be a source of fear or misinformation.

Pleas check the school website for information frequently, as the news is so rapidly changing!

If you have work from 3rd quarter that you still need to turn in (Japanese Internment Paragraph), email me about it.  Check your grade in Aeries.  I will file 3rd quarter grades on Tuesday.

For the next few weeks, you will need to check this site every day to get information about my classes. Schedule a regular time of day when you will be checking on all your classes.

On this weblog, I will post links to lecture notes and other assignments.  I will also post links to videos and other online sources.

I will be using Google Classroom and possibly Khan Academy.  If you get an invitation to join a class in Khan Academy, please do sign in, just in case I find helpful materials on KA.

Remember, we're all making this up as we go along, so be patient and do your best.

Email me if you are having trouble with the links, or if you are not sure what to do.

US History:
Unit: World War II (we're almost done with this unit)
1. Atomic bomb research: continue to read and annotate the sources related to the atomic bomb. So far in class, we have read and annotated documents 1 and 2.  If you have not read these two documents, do this first.

2. Fill in the chart as you go along.  Here is the link for the chart:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/14DcblVSQ1dZRfXwpzmqMeahaXaDk361f/view?usp=sharing

Remember that you need to make a copy of the chart for your own drive, so that you will be able to enter information on it.

2. On Friday, I gave you a sheet of questions to answer about documents 2 and 3.  Instead of filling in that sheet, go to Google Classroom and open the new assignment you will find there. You will also be answering questions about document 4 in the same Google Classroom assignment. (So, no need to answer the question on the back of document 4.)

Due Dates:  Both the Google Classroom assignment and the Chart will be due on Friday, March 20th. The Google Classroom assignment should be turned in by that date, and the Chart should be shared with me.

EL World History:
Unit: Russia and the Cold War
1. Read the handout "Introduction: The Russian Revolution."  Take notes on the reading.
2. Go to Google Classroom, and open the new assignment.  Write a 4-5 sentence summary of the reading.

APEH:
Unit: Chapters 23 and 24
1. Continue working on the SG for Chapter 24.  You will be sharing your document with me, so all answers must be typed -- no handwritten answers. This is due on Wednesday (the original due date).
2. Use the review sheets you received in class to review the 19th century. I'm looking for some way to test this material!  Work together (remotely!) if you like.
3. By the end of this week, you should have finished the chart of 19th century people.  You will be sharing this with me. If you were writing on the handout, you will need to transfer your notes to the digital form.  Here is the link:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1flMgT24HyGlw5OxJdRA2H9btV6E0VPRY/view?usp=sharing

4. If you want to read ahead, go to Chapter 25 and start reading. You already have the SG for this chapter. I will assign questions by the end of the week.  You can also start reading the article "WWI: The War That Changed Everything."  Highlight, annotate, etc.

5. If you would like to listen in on Tom Richey's online APEH "Corona Class," here is the link:
https://www.tomrichey.net/coronaclass.html#APEURO
As you can see, he is starting with the end of WWI and going all the way through to post WWII Europe.  This could be a good option for those of you taking the AP exam.
