Schedule for this week: Tuesday's TT is open -- make an appointment. Wednesday's TT is closed.
Program Planning: If you haven't turned in your program planning sheet, take it to your house office asap! You must also submit your course selections in Aeries.
You will be called out of class for a one-on-one with our counselor soon. Be ready with your questions about scheduling.
Remember that TT is an academic period -- you must bring some schoolwork to do during TT. If you don't have any work, bring a book to read. You should not plan to spend the time gaming or chatting with friends.
EL World History
We'll continue our coverage of WWII.
The US entered the war in 1941, after Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. Why did they do it? What was the US response?
The battles moved to North Africa and Italy.
We'll cover the end of the war in Europe and the Pacific.

If you missed the unit test on the Great Depression and the New Deal, make a TT appointment for Tuesday, Feb. 27. Bring your notes.
Current Unit: WWII on the Home Front. Make a new divider!
You'll take a short quiz on basic WWII vocabulary; mostly review.
Textbook Notes: Mobilizing the Home Front (these were assigned before the Presidents' Week break). Notes are due at block period this week -- Feb. 27 or Feb. 28.
Once war was declared, the government put America on a war footing. We'll discuss the battles on the home front, and the propaganda that was produced to persuade Americans to join the war effort.
The war had a big impact on the Civil Rights Movement. You'll learn how the war changed the lives of women, Black Americans, Hispanic Americans, and Japanese Americans.
