APEH:
1. You should have finished reading Candide by the time you come back from Thanksgiving break. I will put you into discussion groups (or reading groups) on Monday.   How would you summarize Voltaire's ideas, as expressed in the adventures of Candide and his mentor, Dr. Pangloss? 
2. We will have a multiple choice test on the Scientific Revolution and the Enlightenment at block, and then move on to 18th century social history (presentations!).

I will not be at school on Tuesday, November 19th.  This means that you will not be able to get makeup work from me at Trojan Time.  Please sign in on the attendance sheet when you arrive in F14.

US History:
1. Open-Note quiz at block ("Reaching for Empire").
2. Foreign Policy Spectrum.  The sub will hand out the readings.  Use the readings to fill in the Spectrum. 
3. If you finish the Spectrum, take a copy of the homework: "Becoming a World Power."

EL World History:
No homework.  Vocabulary quiz at block.

APEH:
1. The first part of the Chapter 17 SG is due at block. 
2. You should have filled in the Scientific Revolution Timeline.  If your entries are not in chronological order, create a fresh copy that is in date order.
3. We should have a Hub Dates quiz, right?

1. I will lecture on the Thirty Years' War at block. Your SG is due, along with annotations on Bossuet, Hobbes and Locke. 
2. Unit test on Absolutism and Constitutionalism will take place on Thursday.

2. The unit test will take place on Thursday, rather than at block period next week. Be sure to bring your binder (and your crossword puzzle) to class so you can hand in work from the unit. 

EL World History:

APEH:
1. If you have not shared your presentation with me, do so immediately in order to get credit.  I do not seem to have received either of the two presentations on Russia. 
2. By block period next week, you should be ready to turn in your Study Guide for the unit on Absolutism and Constitutionalism, including the Review Questions, IDs, chart and the sheet of fill-in questions.  You will also be turning in your annotated readings on Bossuet, Hobbes and Locke.  
3. As soon as we wrap up the 30 Years' War, we will be ready for a unit test.
