The 2nd quarter progress report period has ended. I will file grades on Monday evening. See me if you have questions about your grade.
US History:
1. Due at block: your immigration analogy (paragraph and illustration) and your answers to the questions on Upton Sinclair's The Jungle.
2. There will be a sub in periods 1 and 2 on Monday, December 3rd. You will be completing a worksheet on the Progressive Era.
EL World History:
No homework.
APEH:
1. The remainder of the SG is due at block.
2. By block period (Tuesday), you should have finished reading Candide. Read quickly...you don't need to micro-analyze it. Major characters and events are satirical, so try to figure out who/what Voltaire is mocking. In the book, Voltaire is pondering some deep questions about man, God, society, gender, etc. Be sure to read the very end of the book, where Voltaire's final comment on human existence is located.
