I hope you have gotten started on the summer assignment. Feel free to email me if you encounter a problem or need some advice. 

Read carefully, and don't assume that you know the answers to any questions.  The culture and politics of the early modern period were quite different from today!  This is the time period when modern ways of life/thought were just starting to emerge.

Please follow the instructions carefully.  Your work is due by noon on July 27th.  This is the last day of summer school, and after that it will be difficult for you to get into the building to drop off your work.

Get started right away!  It's a lot of work, and the questions require thoughtful answers.  Don't procrastinate until it is too late to do a good job.
