US History:
1. If you didn't finish the Progressives worksheet in class at block, have it ready for a stamp on Thursday.
2. You should start filling in the organizational chart for the Progressives Paragraph, which you will be writing in class on Friday. Identify problems or issues that arose during the period of industrialization, and then find progressive reformers who tried to address those issues.
3. Unit test and binder check on Monday, Dec. 5th.

EL World History:
1. Unit test on the Industrial Revolution on Thursday!  Be sure your binder is in order.

APEH:
1. Group discussions of Candide in class on Thursday.
2. You should have a nice timeline of significant people and discoveries of the Scientific Revolution.
3. Continue working on the SG for this chapter. We'll move on to new chapters quickly!

1. Unit test on the Industrial Revolution on Thursday!  Be ready for a binder check.

APEH:
1. Work on the next part of the Study Guide and the IDs and Fill-ins.
2. You should have a full timeline of the Scientific Revolution.
3. Be ready to discuss Candide in groups on Thursday.

1. No homework, but if you didn't get much done on the Progressives chart in class on Monday, you should do some of it as homework. There will be a limited time for work at block.
2. Remember to focus on the types of problems that existed during the time period between 1865 and 1915. Look for examples of the progressive reformers who tried to make America better.

EL World History:
1. Quiz at block: New Ideas. Study the handout you completed in class on Monday.

APEH:
1. If you didn't get a stamp on your SG on Monday, have it ready at block.
2. You should have read Candide by now. Read the book.
3. You should have read and annotated the docs for the DBQ on the Dutch Republic.

APEH:
1. SG for Chapter 15 is due on Thursday. You will also be handing in your answers to the questions on Hobbes and Locke.
2. Multiple choice test on Chapter 15 on Friday.
3. Focus on the way in which different ideas about human nature influence philosophies of government. Be able to refer to specific philosophers and their perspectives on effective government. How do Locke and Hobbes compare to our earlier philosophers of government -- Machiavelli and More?

3. Be ready for a unit test on Friday. This will include a section of questions on the 1648 map (Treaty of Westphalia).

1. Read the selection by Bossuet and annotate it thoroughly.
2. Read the selection by Hobbes and answer the questions on a separate sheet of paper -- type, please.
3. Use the blank 1648 map to gain an understanding of the political situation after the 30 Years' War. What was the political impact of the war on the Holy Roman Empire? On France and Spain? On Sweden?
4. French Kings!  Study them.
5. Be ready for presentations at block.

1. Study your vocabulary book -- pages 14, 15 and 16 -- for a vocabulary quiz next week.

APEH:
1. You should be working on the IDs and fill-ins on the Study Guide.
2. Be prepared to give a short presentation with your group next week. Presentations should run 3-5 minutes, and should contain essential people, events and concepts related to the development of absolutism or constitutionalism.
3 Other stuff:
Study the 1648 map...label the blank map by consulting the map in your textbook.
Read and annotate Bossuet.
Read the excerpt from Hobbes' Leviathan, and answer the questions on a separate sheet of paper (type, please!).
