Ms. Cox's Classes

Daily log for Ms. Cox's social studies classes.

Friday, March 25, 2016

Reminder: 3rd quarter ends April 8th, the Friday after you return from break. Be sure to see your teachers about any needed makeup as soon as you return after the holiday.

US History:
1. If you missed either the essay or the unit test, see me right away after break to arrange a makeup.
2. No homework, but the first assignment for the new unit ("Cold War Begins") will be due on Thursday when you return.

EL World History:
No homework.

APEH:
1. Read Chapter 26 and work on the assigned SG questions and the fill-ins. I will assign IDs when you return.
2. Read the poetry (Hardy, Eliot and Yeats). How do the poems demonstrate the sense of futility and foreboding that characterize the period?
3. Read the introductory blurb about totalitarianism in Perry, and the two brief selections on Stalin's push for collectivization. It is not possible to advance the cause of individual human dignity through any sort of collectivist ideology. Just sayin'.
