1. Due at block: Front side of the worksheet on the Progressive Era.  Focus on the problems that arose, and the ways that Progressives tried to solve them.
2. You should be ready for a test on Friday.

EL MWH:
1. If you didn't finish the questions for the reading on new ideas of the Industrial Revolution, have it finished by block period.

APEH:
1. You should be reading Candide.
2. We'll finish the presentations at block, and have a lecture on the 30 Years' War. The 1648 map will be on the test.
3. Unit test on Thursday?  Your SG will be due (questions 1-8, chart, and the Comprehension Check)

1. Due at block: answers to questions about the "Second Industrial Revolution."

APEH:
1. Answers to questions 1-8 on the SG  are due at block.  We will have work time in the lab to work on presentations.  Let's at least try to start the presentations on Thursday.
2. Read the sources handed out in class.  Get a grasp on Bossuet, Hobbes and Locke, in terms of their theories of government.  Remember to highlight, underline, circle, make arrows, etc...interact with the text.

2. Get someone in your group to type up your answers to the Montaigne questions. If you haven't read the fact situations that accompanied the Montaigne reading, read them over the weekend. Also, read question #10 in the SG...you don't have to write an answer for it, but be prepared to discuss it with your group.
3. We will have to postpone the unit test until Thursday.

1. Due Friday: Textbook reading guide "Rise of Industrialism."  Questions 1-6 are due Friday; questions 7-12 are due Monday.
2. If you missed the test on Thursday, see me immediately to arrange a makeup. You will also need to turn in work from your binder.

EL World History:
No homework.

APEH:
1. Due Friday: POV comparison on the African slave trade.  Look for any factors that might explain the different perspectives of the various sources. Some writers may have a distinct agenda; others may be neutral. What could account for their bias...or lack thereof? Refer to the text to support your POV analysis (key words, phrases, etc.), but don't summarize the documents.
2. Finish the SG for Monday.
3. We'll go back into group on Friday to continue discussing Montaigne and cultural relativism.
4. Be ready for a unit test next week.  There will be some short answer questions as well as the usual multiple-choice extravaganza.

3. This unit will end very quickly. Read the text very carefully -- you are responsible for everything in it.
4. The 1648 map is actually in Chapter 14 now, so don't worry about it right now.

1. At block, you'll finish the Reconstruction chart, and complete a review crossword puzzle. We will play bingo if we have time.
2. The Civil War test will take place on Thursday.  Be sure your binder is in order, as you will be handing in a packet of homework/classwork.
3. You have until Friday to recite the Gettysburg Address for 10 points of extra credit!

EL World History:
1. French Revolution book is due at block.  We will review, and then take the test.

APEH:
1. Work on the next section of the SG, including the chart of explorers. Don't forget the IDs.
2. Read the excerpt from Montaigne's "On Cannibals."  Highlight and mark the text.
3. Bring your book to class, so you will be able to use it for work time.
4. POV comparison on the African slave trade due Friday.  See me if you have questions.
