1. You should be reading Chapter 21 and completing the SG and the review sheets.  Focus on the factors that led to war -- connect these events with what you have learned about national identity, government power, economic organization, etc.

1. Unit test Wednesday.  You will also be writing a paragraph on a political cartoon, using the 3-step-method you have learned.
2. Be sure to bring your binder, so you can hand in work from the unit.

EL World History:
No homework.

APEH:
1. If you are correcting your 19th Century Thinkers quiz for a possible additional 5 points, you should hand this in at block.
2. Big MC test on the 19th century on Tuesday.

Come to the courtyard on Wednesday!  Recruit clueless juniors for APEH!  I will be happy to provide a doughnut/muffin breakfast for those who come to the elective fair, or who make classroom visits to US History classes.  Check with US History teachers before dropping in on them, or let me know your availability, and I will try to set something up.

2. What were some of the new ideas inspired by the Industrial Revolution? How did various groups of people view the new industrial/urban environment?  Wouldn't this be a great DBQ???
3. Don't forget those 19th century ideas and thinkers.

US History:
1. Quiz Friday!  This quiz covers the first part of the Great Depression/New Deal unit.  Topic include the causes of the stock market crash, causes of the Great Depression, and the impact of the Depression.  You will need your textbook notes (Crash and Its Aftermath; Dream on Hold), your graphs of Depression-era economic statistics and your video notes about the Bonus March.

EL World History:
1. If you didn't finish filling in the chart of Causes of WWII, you should fill this in by Thursday.  We will use this chart when writing.

APEH:
1. You should be working on Chapter 26.
2. There will be a quiz on the 19th century thinkers and ideas coming up soon.  You should be able to identify the POV of prominent thinkers.
3. It should be possible to finish the 19th century spectrum in class Thursday.  More lectures.

EL World History:
1. Quiz Thursday: Totalitarian Governments.  You should be able to give definitions of totalitarian, fascism and communism.  You should also know which countries in WWII were fascist and which were communist, and the names of their leaders.

APEH:
1. Keep working on Chapter 25.
2. We will have massive 19th century lectures.
3. Hub Dates...Friday?  You can't use the obvious ones.

1. Due Thursday: "Crash and Its Aftermath."

EL World History:
1. Finish filling in the chart on totalitarianism.

APEH:
1. First section of the Ch. 25 SG is due at block.
2. You should be ready to review Hub Dates for the second semester.
3. POV comparison (Dickens, Engels, Ure) due at block.  Remember -- don't spend your time summarizing what the author says.  Focus on his point of view -- what is the author's perspective on events of the day? What terms could you use to describe the author's perspective? Who is the author's intended audience, and what are his motives for writing? Stuff like that.
4. Keep working on the list of 19th century ideas and thinkers. This will work best if you type it. Use a table or chart format.
