Don't forget that your summer assignment is due on July 27th.  Please put it in a folder or manila envelope, and make sure you name is on all the pages.  Put it in my box in the office...my box is the one below my name.

Check the school calendar on the website to confirm the hours that the office will be open. 

Remember that the documents (except the maps) are on googledocs.  The links can be found by clicking on my name in the Staff Directory section of the school website.  Click on "links" and make sure the dropdown menu is set to "Summer Assignment."

Consider this:  What political characteristic of the modern West (that we take for granted now) was just emerging in the later Middle Ages/Early Modern period -- the period covered by your summer homework?   How was this trend related to the development of expanded and more formalized assemblies (parliaments) than had existed in the Middle Ages?  How was it related to a reduction in the power of the Roman Catholic Church?
