US History:
1. If you didn't finish your Venn diagram in class, you should have it finished on Monday. Try to decide how you will answer the essay prompt -- which leader of the civil rights movement do you think had more influence on the US?
2. On Monday, you will have time to work on an outline containing thesis statement, topic sentences and bullet points that you will include in your paragraphs. You will be able to bring this outline with you to the computer lab on Tuesday.

World History:
1. Read the prompt carefully and decide which three issues you will discuss in your essay.

1. You should be developing an idea of why peace between Israel and the Palestinian Arabs has been so hard to achieve (this is the topic for your final essay).

1. Due Thursday: Civil Rights Terms. Remember to focus on the significance of each term/law, not just the definition.
2. If you missed the Vietnam unit test, make arrangements with me immediately for a makeup.

World History:
1. Due at block: "Overview of Oil in the Middle East." We'll continue with our PowerPoint notes on the Ottoman Empire.
2. At block: Open-Notebook quiz on everything in our unit so far, including geography, religion, Ottoman Empire, oil, etc.
3. Due Friday: "Modernization of Turkey."

1. We'll watch an episode of "Rome" at block, and vote on other films you'd like to see. Feel free to suggest films you have at home; we'll add them to our list.
