Tuesday, April 29, 2008

US History:
1. Your paragraph on US foreign policy in Vietnam is due at block.

2. For 5 points: What famous actress went to North Vietnam during the Vietnam war? List two things she did or said while she was there or after she got back. What do some people call her as a result? What is your opinion of her behavior?

2. For 5 extra credit points, be able to point out the following locations on a world map: Taiwan, North and South Korea, Philippines, Japan, Okinawa, Vietnam, Indonesia, Nepal, Uzbekistan, Myanmar, Singapore, Malaysia. You must be able to do this quickly...no hunting around for the locations! Or, identify the territorial dispute that Japan and Russia have recently agreed to negotiate. What does Russia call this territory and what does Japan call it? Explain how this dispute arose. Be able to point out this area on a map.
