World Civ:
We reviewed "The Rise of Fascism in Europe." I handed out a new text assignment- "Agressors on the March." I will give you time in class to work on this at block.
We worked together as a class to complete a chart showing the nations of the world headed for war in 1940.
Please bring your books to block.
US History:
Due to excessive pleading from students, the quiz was postoned until block. Instead, we discussed the nature of liberal, conservative and radical responses to the Great Depression. Students worked in class to create a reading outline of an article entitled "President Hoover and the Failure of Conservatism to Ease the Great Depression." I'll stamp this at block if you didn't finish it in class.
The quiz will definitely take place at block! Bring your outlines for "The Crash and its Aftermath" and "The Dream on Hold," as well as your graphs of economic statistics.
APEH:
I handed back the Romanticism papers and the study questions for the second half of Chapter 23.
I will collect the short Internet POV assignment at block.
I will discuss strategies for the Irish famine DBQ at block, if students have at least read the docs and formulated some kind of preliminary plan for themselves. This DBQ will be submitted over turnitin.com early next week (since you have a three-day weekend).
We started a group activity focusing on the development of political parties in the 19th century.
You should have finished reading Chapter 24.
Begin reading Chapter 25, and follow along with the Perry readings.
